Overview

Carolyn Treneer is an associate in Mayer Brown's Houston office and a member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice.

Carolyn received her JD from Georgetown University Law Center and her BS from the Dwight Look College of Engineering at Texas A&M University. During law school, Carolyn served as Vice President of the Latin American Law Students Association. She also served as Operations Director for the Appellate Advocacy Division. In 2023, she won first place at the National Rounds for the Americas of the International Criminal Court’s annual Moot Court Competition. This earned her the opportunity to argue at the international rounds in The Hague, Netherlands, where her team placed among the top fifteen in the world. Carolyn also gained experience as a student attorney for Georgetown’s Civil Rights Clinic, where she handled depositions, drafted and filed motions, and engaged in client counseling. Before law school, Carolyn worked in the commercial construction industry in Houston, Texas.
