Overview
Saqib Siddiqui protects clients’ patent rights in district courts, the US International Trade Commission (ITC) and US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Leveraging his electrical engineering background, he is lead counsel for firm clients Heartflow, Inc. and NEC Corporation in numerous litigations involving the patents and products incorporating Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the field of detection of Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) and image processing for home security products. In addition, over the last decade, Saqib has significant experience managing the day-to-day of complex litigations involving patents and products directed to innovations in smartphones, smart appliances, smart televisions, and cameras. For example, he was involved in ITC investigations 337-TA-721 & 337-TA-808 in the early days of smartphone wars (instituted 2010) and is currently involved in investigations 337-TA-1468 (instituted 2025) & 337-TA-1516 (instituted 2026) and many more therebetween.
Experience
- NEC Corporation v. Anker Technologies (E.D. Tex. 2024-2026). Currently serving as lead counsel for NEC in a six patent litigation related to the use AI object detections and package notification in home security eufy branded products such as video doorbells and indoor/outdoor camera surveillance products.
- Heartflow, Inc. v. Cleerly, Inc. (E.D. Tex. 2026). Currently serving as lead counsel for Heartflow in a six patent litigation between competitors relating to the use of AI for detection of Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) via implementing non-invasive techniques and the use of deep learning algorithms and neural network training engines.
- Certain Smart Wearable Devices, Systems, And Components Thereof, 337-TA-1468/1478 (ITC 2025-2026). Currently representing Oura in a patent litigation involving smart ring technologies against numerous respondents including Samsung Electronics, Reebok International, Zepp Health, and Nexxbase.
- Maxell, Ltd. v. Samsung Electronics (E.D. Tex. 2024-2026) & Certain Mobile Electronic Devices, 337-TA-1432 (ITC) (2025-2026). Represented Maxell in a complex litigation involving numerous patents related to biometric authentication, cellular dual connectivity, video transfer, Human Computer Interactions, image processing, obtaining a jury verdict of $111 million (currently under appeal) and an Initial Determination of a violation of Section 337 (currently under commission review).
