Overview

Simon Shaw is a senior associate in the Construction and Engineering practice of the London office. He advises contractors, consultants and insurers on all aspects of construction law.

Simon has broad experience of contentious litigation matters and has acted on disputes relating to defective works, negligent design, delay/disruption, loss and expense and payment issues. In recent times Simon has handled a wide range of cladding related matters. Simon also has experience in addressing insurance issues and has previously advised on professional indemnity cases. Simon has represented clients in complex multi-party litigation in the High Court (TCC), mediations, adjudications and arbitrations

Simon joined Mayer Brown in 2013 as a trainee and spend six months on secondment to Zurich Insurance plc as part of his training contract, sitting with the W&I underwriting team. Simon was made a Senior Associate in 2019.
