Ryan J. Rettmann

Ryan Rettmann is a Banking & Finance counsel in Mayer Brown’s Chicago office. Ryan’s experience includes representing market participants in a variety of securitization and other structured finance transactions, with significant experience related to domestic and cross-border public and private issuances of asset-backed securities, warehouse loan facilities, whole loan asset sales and forward flow transactions, and synthetic risk transfers, in the auto loan, auto lease, wholesale dealer floorplan, equipment loan and lease, and personal loan asset classes.

Prior to joining Mayer Brown, in addition to previous private practice experience, Ryan was also a senior director and associate general counsel at a large bank holding company with responsibility for all corporate treasury legal matters, including asset-backed securities issuances and securitization platforms, unsecured debt, demand notes, preferred stock issuances, asset purchases and sales, common stock repurchases, as well as related regulatory and compliance considerations and governance matters.

Ryan is also a former co-chair of the Structured Finance Association’s Auto Issuer Committee.
