Overview

Cecilia G. Rambarat is an associate in Mayer Brown’s Charlotte office and a member of the Intellectual Property practice. Cecilia is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). She has a background in Chemistry and concentrates her practice on patent disputes in federal courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB). Cecilia also maintains an active patent prosecution practice and has assisted in rendering opinions relating to the infringement, validity, and enforceability of patents. Cecilia has also provided pro bono representation of individuals seeking asylum before the immigration court.

Cecilia graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she served as an Articles Editor of the North Carolina Journal of Law & Technology, an Honors Writing Scholar, and a competing member of Holderness Moot Court. She holds her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Wake Forest University. Cecilia was the recipient of the 2020 Mayer Brown Diversity Scholarship. She currently serves on Mayer Brown’s Recruiting Committee.
