Overview
Julianna Pechincha is a counsel in the Arbitration and Litigation practices of Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown in the São Paulo office. Her practice focuses on international dispute resolution with a particular emphasis on international arbitration. Julianna has broad-based experience in business transactions, corporate investigations, international arbitration and litigation. She has handled high-profile matters involving multiple foreign laws and languages. She represents individuals and companies in industries as varied as agriculture, construction, energy, financial institutions, infrastructure, oil and gas and technology from all over the world.
Julianna is trained in both the Common Law system (L.L.M. degree from Columbia Law School in New York) and the Civil Law system (a Master’s Degree from PUC/SP and a Law Degree from UFES). She is admitted to practice in New York and Brazil. Prior to joining the firm, Julianna was a senior associate in leading New York law firms such as Baker Botts LLP and Hogan Lovells LLP, for the past fifteen years. Julianna also served as an assistant general counsel at JP Morgan allowing her a business perspective to anticipate the demands of the clients.
