Overview

Hudson Peavy is an associate in Mayer Brown’s Houston office and a member of the Global Energy and Corporate & Securities practices. He represents publicly held and privately owned companies on domestic and cross-border transactional matters, including mergers, stock and asset acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investments and general corporate matters.

Hudson received his JD from The University of Chicago Law School and his BS from Texas A&M University. He is admitted to practice in the State of Texas.

Experience

  • Represented POSCO International in in connection with its equity investment in the US$45 billion Alaska LNG project in the United States, the only federally authorized LNG export project on the US Pacific Coast. The deal also includes an agreement to steel supply steel for Alaska’s natures gas pipeline and a 20-year agreement to offtake 1,000,000 tons per year of LNG from the project.
  • Represented Codelco, Chile’s state-owned mining company, in connection with its minority equity investment in I-Pulse Inc., a US-based company that develops pulsed power technology applications for mining, geothermal and other major industries.
  • Represented Pluspetrol on the acquisition of ExxonMobil Exploration Argentina S.R.L. from ExxonMobil Argentina Investments B.V. and QatarEnergy Argentina Holdings LLC. The acquisition includes stakes in blocks Bajo del Choique-La Invernada, Los Toldos I Sur, Los Toldos II Oeste, and Pampa de las Yeguas, in the Province of Neuquén, Argentina, in addition to a stake in the Oleoductos del Valle (Oldelval) oil pipeline.
  • Represented Summit Midstream Partners in its joint venture with Clariter S.A. to develop cutting edge chemical recycling plants in the United States.
