Overview
Anjani is an associate in Mayer Brown's Washington DC office and a member of the International Trade, Cybersecurity & Data Privacy, and Public Policy, Regulatory & Government Affairs groups. She helps clients navigate complex and cutting-edge regulatory and policy matters related to international trade and national security.
Anjani advises clients, including US and multinational technology companies, on US sanctions and export controls compliance matters, including regulatory compliance risks related to the EAR, ITAR, and export classifications. This includes conducting sanctions and export controls due diligence reviews in connection with mergers and acquisitions, as well as complex internal investigations in connection with possible violations of US sanctions and export control laws. She also represents companies in trade remedies and customs proceedings before US government agencies. Additionally, Anjani advises clients on cybersecurity law and policy issues, cyber incident response, and related crisis management.
Anjani recently held various positions in the federal government, including as Assistant General Counsel at the Office of the United States Trade Representative and Associate Counsel to the Vice President.
