Overview
Alasdair advises clients on a range of intellectual property, technology and data protection matters. His experience includes assisting clients on transactional matters, including the negotiation of intellectual property development and licensing arrangements, on outsourcing transactions, including the negotiation of technology outsourcing arrangements for financial services clients for compliance with financial services cybersecurity regulations including DORA, and on advisory matters, including data protection advice, GDPR compliance projects, and AI governance.
Alasdair also advises clients on the intellectual property, technology and data protection aspects of commercial agreements and corporate transactions, and has experience advising clients operating within the technology, media, financial services, healthcare and logistics sectors.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown in 2020 as a trainee, Alasdair worked in the in-house legal team of a FinTech company operating within the digital international remittances sector.
