Overview
David Linley is a partner in the Banking & Finance practice of Mayer Brown's New York office. Both regulated and commercial entities turn to David for advice on a broad range of innovative and large-scale restructurings and finance transactions, the latter including deals involving traditional bank finance products, transportation and equipment leasing, securitization and structured finance, and specialty capital markets transactions. Clients leverage his experience in the financing and securitization of mortgage assets (whole loans, residential and mortgage-backed securities) and related areas such as single family rental (SFR) warehouse and securitization transactions; securitization of equipment notes and transportation assets such as railcars and barges; and warehouse and term transactions for similar assets. Custodians and broker-dealers look to David for counsel on the triparty and bilateral financing of customer and proprietary securities, including structuring and establishing large capital markets financing programs for these assets using repurchase, securities lending and other protected contract structures. David joined the New York office in 2002 after practicing for two years in the firm’s London office.
