Intellectual Property

Overview

Julia Haines practices complex intellectual property commercial litigation with an emphasis on patent cases. She has represented clients from their initial complaints through final verdicts in federal district courts across the nation and the International Trade Commission, and her appellate work has reached the merits docket of the U.S. Supreme Court.

Ms. Haines applies her technical background and federal court clerkship experience to develop and defend strategies in difficult cases, including those that involve advanced technologies and sophisticated parties. Her recent cases include a nine-figure patent infringement lawsuit on behalf of a medical device manufacturer; a historic antitrust suit concerning smartphones that settled on the eve of trial that exceeded $300 million; and a Section 337 Investigation on behalf of a global chemical company to protect one its largest investments.
