Overview
Adam Cusick is an associate in Mayer Brown’s Palo Alto office and a member of the Technology & IP Transactions practice. Adam advises clients on a variety of complex commercial transactions, including technology and business process outsourcing, technology and IP licensing, cloud computing, hosted service agreements, SaaS, and privacy and security issues. Adam has advised clients in a number of industries, including financial services, food and beverage, insurance, hospitality, information technology, and telecommunications.
Adam received his JD from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as the technology editor for the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review (now Michigan Technology Law Review) and concurrently earned a Masters of Science in Information from the University of Michigan School of Information. He is also recognized as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).
Experience
- Represented a global financial institution in negotiating a strategic alliance agreement with an enterprise software company to embed a Banking as a Service (BaaS) product into the enterprise software company’s cloud platform
- Represented a major fintech in the outsourcing of key IT and client-service functions
- Represented an energy corporation in business process outsourcing transactions involving multiple vendors, including major SaaS providers
