Matthew Bodziak is an associate in Mayer Brown's Washington DC office and a member of the Corporate & Securities practice.
Matthew focuses his practice on investment management matters, primarily private funds. He advises hedge funds, private equity funds, venture funds and other investment funds on all aspects of fund formation, fund structuring and capital raising. Matthew regularly advises sponsors of private investment funds that cover a variety of investment strategies, including buy out, infrastructure, real estate, reinsurance, long/short equity funds and hybrid funds. He also advises fund sponsors with respect to seed capital arrangements and secondaries.
Prior to joining Mayer Brown, Matthew was an associate in the Financial Services Group of a large global law firm. While in law school Matthew was a legal intern for the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the World Bank. Prior to law school Matthew worked in the fraud department of a Big Four accounting firm.
