Mayer Brown welcomes Mary McQuinn, bolstering firm’s nationally recognized real estate platform

WASHINGTON DC – Mayer Brown announced today that Mary McQuinn has joined its Washington DC office as a partner in the Real Estate and Real Estate Funds practices, enhancing the firm’s nationally recognized hospitality and real estate platform. Mary joins from Goodwin Procter LLP. 

“Mary’s experience with complex joint ventures and portfolio transactions and hospitality experience will help clients structure deals efficiently and seize opportunities in today’s dynamic market,” said Brian Aronson, co-lead of Mayer Brown’s Real Estate practice. “Her arrival deepens our bench in areas where clients are most active.”

Mary advises institutional investors, real estate funds, private REITs, and hotel operators on complex transactions, including joint ventures, financings, developments, acquisitions, and dispositions. She is recognized for her practical, business-minded approach and ability to navigate sophisticated deal structures across multiple asset classes, with recognized experience in hospitality.

Her arrival marks the tenth lawyer to transition from Goodwin to Mayer Brown’s real estate platform, together with the recent addition of partners Teresa Goebel, Benjamin Tschann, and Dustin Calkins in San Francisco, as well as counsel Jacob Boyer and Rachel Keeney, and associates Jeremy Lu, Robert Brownlie, Abby Appel and Kelsey Lutgen in San Francisco and Los Angeles. This milestone underscores Mayer Brown’s continued investment in real estate investment markets work, including hospitality and leisure and operating-real estate.
