Global Competition Review recognizes Mayer Brown among 2024 “Global Elite”

Mayer Brown was once again recognized among Global Competition Review’s (GCR) “Global Elite.” The 2024 ranking, part of the extensive GCR 100, details the work of the world’s top law firms practicing competition law internationally. The firm was also recognized among the top 10 cartel practices.

On the cartel side, GCR highlighted the firm’s work representing French supermarket ITM Entreprises in its appeal against the European Commission’s decision to raid Intermarché and Casino. Mayer Brown was also noted for helping Microsoft win unconditional approval for its purchase of Activision Blizzard in Brazil despite the Administrative Council for Economic Defence reviewing the deal in depth. Other notable cases that the publication mentioned include the firm winning summary judgment for California poultry producer Foster Farms in civil antitrust claims against broiler chicken producers.
