Mayer Brown partners Gabriela Sakamoto and Rebecca Seidl were once again named to Latinvex’s annual list of “Latin America’s Top 100 Female Lawyers.” Gabriela was recognized in the “Banking & Finance” category while Rebecca was recognized among “Energy” lawyers. This is the fourth consecutive year that they have received this honor.
Gabriela, a member of the firm’s Latin America & Caribbean and Global Projects groups, advises commercial banks, multilateral agencies and other financial institutions, as arrangers, lenders and agents, on cross-border financing transactions. Her Latin American experience includes transactions in more than ten countries in the region and across a wide range of sectors, including energy, infrastructure, banking and financial services.
Rebecca, a member of the firm’s Global Energy and Project & Infrastructure groups, advises global energy companies in the US and Latin America. She has a broad transactional-based energy practice focused on stock and asset acquisitions and divestitures, mergers, joint ventures and similar transactions.
According to Latinvex, “the criteria for selection was a combination of factors, including recent track record on major deals and business, prominence of firm in Latin America and rankings.”
