Shout out to a team at Mayer Brown that got a win at the D.C. Circuit for the Window Covering Manufacturers Associations challenging new standards set by Consumer Product Safety Commission for operating cords on custom-made window coverings. The appellate court vacated the rule setting the new standards, finding the agency failed to disclose its injury-incident data and selected an arbitrary effective date for the rule. The Mayer Brown team representing the trade association included partner Nicole Saharsky, who argued the case, partner Erika Jones and associates Avi Kupfer and Wajdi Mallat.
