Hong Kong partners Alan Linning and Paul Moloney are quoted in Ignites Asia's article discussing Hong Kong Securities & Futures Commission's (SFC) proposed amendments to fund advertising rules. The proposal requires full client background checks to be carried out on professional investors before pitching any investment product.

Alan says the SFC’s proposed amendments “seem entirely unnecessary”.

Paul says the proposal "...will really hurt smaller managers and the industry more generally at a time where the government is supporting the growth of the asset management industry through many policy initiatives".
