Share

A Mayer Brown team advised Deka Immobilien (Deka), a German real estate investor, on its $802 million acquisition of Google’s Lakefront Blocks office campus in Seattle’s South Lake Union district from Newmark and Vulcan Real Estate.

Completed in 2019, the Lakefront Blocks includes two six-story office buildings spread over two city blocks, with 635,000 square feet of total office space. The purchase is Deka’s largest single investment outside of Germany and furthers Deka’s strategy to pursue high-quality, long-term investments and increase its exposure to the most attractive global cities.

The Chicago-based Real Estate Markets team included partners Jonathan Baker and Paul Meyer, and associates Julia Dahlkemper, Bhavna Swaroop and Frank Tebbe.
