Mayer Brown partner Mitch Holzrichter receives “Emerging Leader” award by American Road & Transportation Builders Association

Mayer Brown announced that Chicago Projects & Infrastructure partner Mitch Holzrichter was honored with the “Emerging Leader” award by the American Road & Transportation Builders Association. Mr. Holzrichter was selected for his “contribution and advocacy to the forward progress of P3s, and outstanding promise for continuing service and leadership in the future,” according to the association.

Mr. Holzrichter represents owners, sponsors, contractors and lenders in complex public infrastructure transactions. His work includes revenue-risk concession agreements, availability payment projects and design-build agreements across a variety of asset types. He focuses on innovative public-private partnership transportation deals. Previously, he drafted P3 legislation for Illinois that became the 2011 Public-Private Partnerships for Transportation Act.

He has advised on many first-of-their-kind and award-winning projects, which were recognized as “Deal of the Year” by The Bond Buyer and Project Finance International.

Additionally, Mr. Holzrichter has been frequently recognized for his work and achievements. He was ranked by Chambers USA 2021 and was named a 2017 “Rising Star” for transportation law by Law360. He was also recognized as a “Next Generation Lawyer” in government relations by Legal 500 (2019 – 2021) and recognized in the construction law rankings (2019 – 2021) for his work on complex infrastructure projects.
