Statement from Mayer Brown on the Recent Shootings in Atlanta

It is difficult to find the words to appropriately capture the collective pain and outrage caused by the shootings in Atlanta. The abhorrent targeting of Asian Americans is yet another tragic reminder of the importance of combatting bias and prejudice in our society and engaging in introspection about our communal values. This follows an escalating pattern of bigotry and racism toward Asian Americans, and we all need to use our voices, our resources and our position as lawyers and legal professionals to resist, denounce and fight this with all of our energy and abilities, as we embrace our Asian American colleagues inside and outside of Mayer Brown to let them know that we stand with them at this impossibly difficult time.
