Share

Global Competition Review has released its latest Market Review: Merger Control guide, providing dealmakers and their advisors with invaluable analysis in relation to merger control practice and developments. Contributions are from leading competition law counsel across key international jurisdictions.

Antitrust partner Daniel Vowden and knowledge counsel Sarah Wilks have co-authored the guide’s UK Chapter: United Kingdom: policy reforms signal new era of merger control.  Having witnessed unprecedented reforms and policy developments in recent months, the UK Chapter discusses key jurisdictional, procedural, and substantive matters from January 2024 through to the first quarter of 2025.  In this context, it comments on likely further changes that businesses should consider for deal planning purposes. The chapter highlights key trends that have impacted advisory work, including policy initiatives pursued by the Labour government, as well as sharing what clients should consider most urgently when contemplating UK-related deal activity.
