Her talk will focus on shifting the current culture of hostility toward transgender people in the United States. Imara will also describe her journey from working on international trade issues at the White House, to her role as an executive at Viacom, to serving as a journalist focusing on social justice and equity issues and discuss the importance of making connections along the way.
