Matt primarily focuses on high-tech patent litigation, but also handles related trade secret and trademark claims that frequently arise in the context of complex patent litigation and assists clients to think through advantageous lines of attack and defense in these matters. He assists clients in all phases of litigation from complaint to trial and post-trial, including pre-filing strategy and analysis, infringement and validity analysis, discovery, claim construction, depositions, pre- and post-trial motions and briefs, and appeals.
Matt is well-versed in emerging computer-based and electromechanical industries, including aerospace, artificial intelligence/machine learning, automotive, consumer electronics, manufacturing, medical devices, semiconductors, software, and telecommunications (e.g., 5G and 6G). Matt is also able to draw upon his prior experience drafting and prosecuting patent applications to quickly master new and emerging technologies.
Matt previously worked at a large international firm and an IP boutique firm where he provided IP litigation, patent prosecution, and patent portfolio strategic counseling services.
