Chris McGarry advises arrangers, collateral managers, issuers and investors on collateralised loan obligations (CLOs) and other types of securitisations including financings of UK consumer credit receivables, infrastructure loans, mortgages, trade receivables and esoteric assets classes. Chris has been recognised for helping clients to develop new securitisation asset classes including handset loans, commodities securitisations, Article 8 CLOs, clean energy infrastructure CLOs and energy levy securitisations. Chris led the team which won FT Innovative Lawyers in Sustainability Award 2025.

Chris also advises clients on ESG and sustainability matters adjacent to his CLO and securitisation practices, including aspects of the European Green Deal. He previously served as a Knowledge Partner to the G20’s Sustainable Finance Study Group and in 2018 he co-authored the G20’s white paper on sustainable securitisation.
