Mayer Brown advises Interconexiones del Norte on financing of Nueva Lagunas – Kimal project in Chile

Mayer Brown represented Interconexiones del Norte S.A., a subsidiary of ISA Interconexión Eléctrica S.A. E.S.P., in the financing of the Nueva Lagunas – Kimal project in Chile, which consists of the construction, development, and operation of a 190km 2x500kV greenfield transmission line in northern Chile. The project financing was structured as a green financing and included a term loan facility and two letters of credit facilities. 

The New York-based Mayer Brown team was led by Banking and Finance partner Juan Pablo Moreno and included counsel Pamela Sackmann, associates Luis Schrader and Anna Yin, and foreign associate Andres Varela, as well as Tax partner Lucas Giardelli and associate Juan Lopez Valek.
