Mayer Brown advises EMS on acquisition of Medley from Sanofi

Mayer Brown is advising EMS, a leading pharmaceutical company in Brazil, on its acquisition of Medley, a major Brazilian pharmaceutical company and a leading manufacturer of generic drugs in Latin America, from French drugmaker Sanofi. The acquisition will allow EMS to expand its offerings in the Brazilian generics segment and accelerate the development of new and innovative products.

The completion of the transaction is subject to regulatory approval and customary closing conditions, including approval by the Brazilian Administrative Council for Economic Defense.
