Mayer Brown awarded ‘Most Effective Pro Bono Partnership’ at LawWorks Pro Bono Awards 2023

London — Mayer Brown has been awarded ‘Most Effective Pro Bono Partnership’ at the LawWorks Pro Bono Awards 2023 for its support of The Green Tech Legal Collaborative (GTLC). The Firm’s work with Kids In Need Of Defense UK was also highly commended at the ceremony.

GTLC is a programme designed to work with green tech startups with diverse legal and compliance needs. It is in its third year of providing pro bono legal support to startups from Imperial College’s Enterprise Lab, with volunteers providing an approachable, hands-on advisory service tailored to the needs of each startup.

Mayer Brown was also awarded ‘Most Effective Pro Bono Partnership’ at the 2022 edition of the LawWorks Pro Bono Awards for the Firm’s support of the Afghan Pro Bono Initiative, a project spearheaded by Safe Passage International and Refugee Legal Support to provide Afghan refugees with legal advice.
