Mayer Brown has been named “Asset Management & Islamic Funds Law Firm of the Year” at the 2021 Islamic Finance News (IFN) Law Awards. The IFN Law Awards, which honor the best in the Islamic financial industry, are one of the most prestigious awards recognized by the global Islamic capital markets.
IFN commended Mayer Brown on its activity in the market, with fund activity including the securitization of receivables derived from US-based self-storage assets, facilitating a Shariah compliant investment structure into the GCM Grosvenor Co-investment Opportunities Fund II and the development of various Shariah compliant feeder funds.
