London International Disputes Week (LIDW26)

分享

London International Disputes Week (‘LIDW’) returns for a 7th year, bringing together the international dispute resolution community to debate and explore key issues and topics, and to help drive awareness and best practice globally. The theme for this year’s LIDW is Tradition, Trust and Transformation in International Dispute Resolution'.

Mayer Brown is proud to host two Member-hosted events at our London office on 3-4 June 2026. These events must be booked through the LIDW website. To access details of each of our events, please click on the links below and follow the instructions for registration.

Wednesday 3 June
9:00 a.m. -10:30 a.m.

This session will be a light-hearted but informative debate that explores the pros and cons of a panel vs a single arbitrator for the determination of international disputes. The debate will focus on arbitration in a construction / commercial context, but the points of principle discussed should be of general appeal to all practitioners engaged with international arbitration.

Thursday 4 June
2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

This session is a topical debate about whether recent US trends in financial services litigation are likely to be replicated in the English courts. The debate will involve practitioners from the UK and US. Panellists will discuss whether we’re likely to see the English courts grappling with claims similar to those before the US courts e.g. claims involving accusations that financial institutions funded terrorism, disputes about the use of AI in litigation and ‘mega’ class actions notably in the anti-trust space.
