In November 2024, Brazil officially adopted Chemical Management Law No. 15. 022 (also known as Brazilian REACH), marking a significant step forward in the field of chemical regulations in Brazil. The law aims to provide the government with the tools and information to assess and control risks of chemical substances used, produced or imported in Brazil, minimizing adverse impacts on human health and the environment. According to the regulation, manufacturers and importers will have to register in a newly established registration system, the National Inventory of Chemical Substances.

During Chemical Watch’s Global Chemical Regulatory Updates 2025 virtual conference, Luiz Gustavo Bezerra and Daniel Gunzburger will discuss the latest developments of Brazilian REACH and its implication for companies that manufacture or import chemical substances in Brazil.

More information are available on the conference website.
