James Morris is a senior associate in the Construction & Engineering practice of the London office. His experience includes a wide range of dispute resolution, advising employers, contractors, consultants and insurers in relation to disputes concerning defective works, final accounts, valuation, professional negligence and EU public procurement. He has represented clients in complex multi-party litigation in the Technology and Construction Court, in mediations, adjudications and arbitration.
James' experience includes domestic and international disputes involving a wide variety of projects, including jetties, defence facilities, waste management facilities, mines, railways, utilities, office facilities, hospitals and distribution centres as well as traditional construction projects.
On qualification James completed the TeCSA marshalling programme where he shadowed the Technology and Construction Court judges on a number of Construction disputes.
James is a member of the Junior SCL and is responsible for organising social and networking events. He has also spoken at conferences and delivered training on e-disclosure to TeCSA members.
James joined Mayer Brown in 2010 from a well regarded City firm.
