Arbitration Breakfast - Hydrogen - hot topics

Share

Hydrogen is likely to become a key part of the energy transition mix and security, with Germany taking a lead role in the future hydrogen economy. Investors are being asked to fast-track decisions on hydrogen projects, including in light of the recent geopolitical events, without clear technical, legal and regulatory landscapes.

Mayer Brown is delighted to invite you to our Frankfurt office for a hybrid client-only breakfast discussion with hydrogen specialists, who have been dealing with these uncertainties, and will share their experience on technical issues, contractual risk management and dispute resolution in the hydrogen space.

Topics

  1. Technical aspects of hydrogen and technical problems associated with hydrogen projects which could potentially result in future disputes.
    Julia Humpidge, Principal, HKA
Dr. Christine Merkel, Senior Associate, Mayer Brown LLP

Here you will find the respective slides.
  2. Managing contractual risks in hydrogen projects, including the nature of hydrogen contracts and most problematic issues to be negotiated in order to prevent disputes.
Valesca Molinari, General Counsel, Sunfire GmbH
Luiz Aboim, Partner, Mayer Brown LLP
  3. Resolving potential disputes in hydrogen projects, including issues of science, urgency and transparency, as well as other lessons from commercial and investment arbitration relating to renewable energy sources.
Anja Ipp, Co-Founder, Climate Change Counsel
Caroline von Götz, Senior Associate, Mayer Brown LLP
