Carolyn R. Treneer

Carolyn Treneer is an associate in Mayer Brown’s Houston office and a member of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. Carolyn has experience managing discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, preparing witnesses for trial and depositions, and representing clients in mediations and settlement negotiations. She has secured dismissals for her clients through dispositive briefing and oral argument, including by successfully arguing a motion to reconsider in a dispute alleging fraud, conspiracy, and aiding and abetting, obtaining a complete dismissal of all claims against her client.

Carolyn represents clients in state and federal court across a wide range of industries and disputes, including oil and gas, construction, shareholder derivative actions, fraud, conspiracy, and trade secret litigation. She also advises international clients on regulatory and contract-based matters.
