概要
Christoph Nießen advises and represents corporations on legal matters relating to Intellectual Property, IT, and privacy, with a particular focus on patent and trademark law as well as data protection and cybersecurity issues. He provides comprehensive support to national and international companies in both judicial and extrajudicial enforcement of their interests, especially in the acquisition and licensing of intellectual property rights and in patent law matters. In addition, he assists clients in complying with data protection requirements, particularly in connection with the GDPR and current challenges related to cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
His advisory work covers mandates with an international dimension, especially in Europe, Asia, and the USA.
During his legal traineeship and as a research assistant, he gained valuable practical experience at Mayer Brown. He also completed his administrative traineeship as part of his legal clerkship at the Opposition Division of the European Intellectual Property Office in Alicante, Spain. He completed his LL.M. studies at Duke University, USA, with a certificate in IP, Science and Technology Law and was awarded the Justin Miller LLM Award for Leadership and Community Participation.
