This week's American Lawyer Litigator of the Week Runners-Up and Shout-Outs recognized Mayer Brown with both a runner-up honor and a shout-out for significant litigation victories.

Runner-Up: Partner Nicole Saharsky was recognized for securing a win for the State of Nevada at the Ninth Circuit, where the court held that the state can regulate Kalshi's sports event contracts under its gambling laws. Nicole argued the matter for Nevada. The Mayer Brown team also included Minh Nguyen-Dang, Matthew Bisanz, Alexander Mendelson, Rory Schneider, and Preston Michelson.

Shout-Out: A Mayer Brown team led by partners Tony Weibell and Elspeth Hansen, counsel David McCarthy and associate Nina He, helped Google fend off class certification in a long-running case alleging the company bypassed default settings in Apple's Safari browser to install data-tracking cookies without users' consent or knowledge. A federal judge denied the plaintiffs' motion for class certification and rejected the plaintiffs' request for sanctions.
