Two Mayer Brown partners named to “IAM Global Leaders” 2022

Mayer Brown announced that Washington DC Intellectual Property partners Alan Grimaldi and Gary Hnath have been named to the IAM Global Leaders list in the “United States: DC Metro Area” category for the third consecutive year. According to the publication, the list highlights “some of the world’s top private practice experts in the field of patents” ranked in the gold tier of the IAM Patent 1000.

Mr. Grimaldi has extensive trial experience in both offensive and defensive patent and other IP litigation, including mediation and arbitration. He represents IP clients in a wide range of industries, including consumer goods, smartphone, health care, chemical, electronics, automotive and banking. In addition, Mr. Grimaldi is a former co-leader of the firm's global Intellectual Property practice.

Mr. Hnath focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation and counseling, including disputes involving patent, trademark and copyright infringement, and trade secrets. He has participated in numerous district court cases, several Federal Circuit appeals, and more than 50 investigations at the International Trade Commission (ITC), one of the principal forums for litigating IP disputes involving imported articles. A leading authority on Section 337 litigation, Mr. Hnath is a former president of the ITC Trial Lawyers Association and chair of the ITC Committee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association.
