Chris Williams’ practice includes advising employers, contractors, and consultants in relation to all forms of construction related disputes such as termination, final accounts, valuation, defective works, and delay. He has represented clients in a range of dispute resolution processes, including arbitral, court, mediation and adjudication proceedings. Chris’s experience includes disputes regarding a variety of projects, including wind farms, student accommodation, and chemical processing plants. He has also advised clients in relation to procurement, public law, and competition disputes.

Experiencia

  • Advising the main contractor in High Court proceedings against eight defendants in respect of defective cladding works at a mixed-use high-rise development in North London. The case was named as one of The Lawyer’s “Top 20 Cases of 2024” and led the team to being nominated for “Litigation: Team of the Year” at The Lawyer Awards 2025.
  • Advising the main contractor in High Court proceedings in relation to a claim under the Third Parties (Rights against Insurers) Act 2010 arising out of a sophisticated renewable energy project at a university.
  • Advising a contractor in High Court proceedings in relation to a claim against two members of the contractor’s supply chain concerning the defective design of a Sport Facility and subsequent delays to Practical Completion.
  • Advising the main contractor in High Court proceedings in respect of the defective design and construction of a high-rise residential building in West London.
