Michael D. Russo is a senior associate in Mayer Brown’s New York office and a member of the Corporate & Securities practice. He focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures and sales of business, joint ventures, strategic alliances, commercial transactions and other corporate matters for US and multinational companies. His practice spans a variety of industries, including renewable and traditional energy, infrastructure, insurance, financial services food & beverage, and life sciences.
Prior to joining the firm in 2017, Mike received his JD magna cum laude from St. John’s University School of Law, where he served as Articles Editor of the St. John’s Law Review. Mike received his BA from Boston College.
Experiencia
Energy
- Represented Engie Brasil Energia in the agreement to purchase five operating photovoltaic power stations in Brazil from Atlas Renewable Energy, a company owned by investment fund Global Infrastructure Partners.
- Represented John Hancock Life Insurance Company in connection with the sale alongside its joint venture partner, Deriva Energy LLC, of an 833 MW operational solar portfolio to Clearway Energy, Inc.
- Represented Argo Infrastructure Partners in the acquisition of Macquarie Infrastructure Corporation's MIC Hawaii businesses, which comprise a combined regulated gas utility and unregulated distributor of propane and several smaller businesses, including controlling interests in two solar facilities.
- Represented Argo Infrastructure Partners in the acquisition of Corning Natural Gas Holding Corporation, a publicly-traded corporation providing natural gas and electric service to customers in New York and Pennsylvania.
