Edwin J. Nazario

Edwin Nazario is a partner in Mayer Brown’s Capital Markets group in Washington, D.C. and a member of the Derivatives & Structured Products practice. Edwin concentrates his practice on commodities trading, derivatives transactions, and Dodd-Frank compliance matters. He also has extensive experience with alternative fuels projects. Edwin represents energy companies, agricultural companies, petrochemical companies, commodity trading companies, independent exploration and production companies, investment banks, advisers and funds.

Edwin works closely with energy, commodity trading, and financial institution clients in transactions involving the physical trading of power, oil and gas, biodiesel, ethanol, iron ore, and cement. His work includes structuring a broad range of commercial arrangements, including joint ventures, purchase and sale agreements, credit facilities and related security, general terms and conditions, industry-standard master agreements such as EEI master agreements, NAESB master agreements, LEAP master agreements, repurchase and netting agreements, and terminaling, storage, and throughput agreements. He also represents clients in the financing, construction, and operation of pyrolysis plants that convert plastics into refined petroleum products.
