David Linley is counsel in the Banking & Finance practice of Mayer Brown's New York office. David’s practice emphasizes a broad variety of finance transactions, including ABL and leveraged finance, securitization and structured finance, and specialty capital markets transactions. David works with banks and originators in programs for ‘TBA’ takeouts for mortgage-backed securities, and in integrating GSE takeouts generally. His practice has a particular focus on the financing and securitization of mortgage assets (whole loans, residential and mortgage-backed securities), securitizations of equipment notes and railcars, warehouse and term transactions for various types of financial assets, and associated derivative products. David has also advised custodians and broker/dealers with respect to triparty and bilateral financing of customer and proprietary securities. He has frequently utilized repurchase and “true sale” structures to achieve bankruptcy isolation, in both rated and unrated transactions. David has been involved in a number of innovative and large-scale transactions and restructurings. David joined the New York office in 2002 after practicing for two years in the firm’s London office.
