Gina M. Aiello

Gina Aiello is a partner in Mayer Brown’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution group and a member of the firm’s Mass Torts & Products Liability practices. Gina’s practice focuses on products liability, mass and toxic torts and complex commercial litigation. Gina has experience in all phases of litigation in state, federal and multidistrict proceedings.

Gina’s recent experience includes representation of a chemical manufacturer in its litigation involving the manufacture and sale of certain PFAS chemicals and the Big Ten Conference in the NCAA Student-Athlete Concussion Litigation (MDL 2492). In addition, she represents a major medical device manufacturer in products liability lawsuits involving cardiac defibrillator devices and is a valued member of the Firm’s team that serves as national counsel for Union Carbide, a subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company, with respect to its historic sales of asbestos-containing products. Gina is involved with the development, implementation and execution of complex litigation strategies in lawsuits in jurisdictions across the country, including by coordinating the efforts of regional and local counsel in pretrial discovery, motion practice and trial preparation. Gina also works closely with fact and expert witnesses that are central to the defense of these actions, and has been a member of several trial teams in high-stakes lawsuits seeking multiple millions in damages.

Gina was selected to Benchmark Litigation‘s 2024 and 2025 “40 & Under” lists, which honor the best and brightest litigators across the US and Canada. In recognition of her accomplishments, Gina was also selected to join the Litigation Counsel of America, which is an invitation-only honorary trial lawyer society comprising fewer than one-half of one percent of U.S. lawyers. These honors reflect Gina’s commitment to skilled advocacy, ethical practice, and the effective representation of clients in complex litigation.
