Mayer Brown clinches top honors at 2025 SCI Risk Sharing Awards – won “North American Law Firm of the Year” and led “North American Transaction of the Year”

LONDON – For the second consecutive year in a row, Mayer Brown has been named the “North American Law Firm of the Year” by Structured Credit Investor (SCI). The SCI Risk Sharing Awards recognize excellence and innovation in the global credit risk-sharing market. Mayer Brown remains one of the most active firms in this market and is the only firm with top-tier representations of issuers, investors, and investor financiers.

In addition to this prestigious honor, Mayer Brown led the deal that won the award for “North American Transaction of the Year.” The firm served as counsel to EJF Capital LLC and its affiliates in connection with a first-of-its-kind credit risk transfer and commercial real estate deconsolidation trade involving Third Coast Bank and a $200 million commercial real estate loan to one of the largest private investment firms in the United States.
