Tauil & Chequer Advogados and Mayer Brown LLP advise J.P. Morgan on loan to Klabin
Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown advised J.P. Morgan on its role as lead coordinator of a US$ 595 million loan to Klabin S.A. and Klabin Austria GmbH. The legal counsel - which included the participation of Mayer Brown in Chicago - covered aspects of Brazilian and New York law, and also involved a syndicate of nine lenders based in Asia, Europe and theAmericas, including J.P. Morgan, Santander, Bradesco, Credit Agricole, BNP Paribas, KFW, MUFG, Mizuho and Export Development Canada.
Our team was led by partner Eduardo Lima, and included counsel Anna Gouvea and associate Camila Spinola, all from the Banking and Finance practice. With regards to Mayer Brown, partners Doug Doetsch and Juan Pablo Moreno led the team in the Chicago office, and associate Theodoro Scott contributed from the New York office.
