Mayer Brown advises the EcoBeautyScore Consortium

Brussels/Düsseldorf/Frankfurt — Mayer Brown is advising the EcoBeautyScore Consortium, a global group of companies and trade associations in the cosmetic industry that have come together to develop a system for measuring the environmental impact of cosmetic products and communicate it to consumers.

The EcoBeautyScore Consortium currently consists of 36 members including Amorepacific, Babor, Beiersdorf, Colgate-Palmolive, Cosmébio, COSMED, Cosmetic Valley, Cosmetics Europe, cosnova, Coty, The Estée Lauder Companies, Eugène Perma, FEBEA, The Fragrance Creators Association, Henkel, IKW Beauty Care, The International Fragrance Association, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc., JUST International AG, Kao, L’Oréal Groupe, LVMH, Nafigate, NAOS, Natrue, Natura &Co, NOHBA, Oriflame, P&G, Paragon Nordic, Puig, PZ Cussons, Shiseido, Sisley, STANPA and Unilever.

Mayer Brown’s Global Chemical Industry Group lead partner Jean-Philippe Montfort (Brussels) coordinates the legal advising team supported by Intellectual Property partner Dr. Ulrich Worm (Frankfurt) and Antitrust & Competition counsel Sarwenaz Kiani (Düsseldorf). Other jurisdictions and capabilities may be engaged as the project expands.
