Debtor in possession financing in Singapore: the tale of the tape
Co-authored by partner Pierre Dzakpasu and senior associate Anne Jesudason, the Singapore chapter of the Asia-Pacific Restructuring Review 2026 analyses Singapore’s debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing regime in comparison to the US and why it has remained largely untapped despite its promise to bolster the city-state as Asia’s restructuring hub. Following a recent panel discussion hosted by Mayer Brown and INSOL in May 2025, this article details how the regime can still offer value and cultivate a competitive rescue financing ecosystem in Singapore.
