Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown advised Ecopistas, a Brazilian concessionaire responsible for the management and administration of important highways in São Paulo, on its 3rd issuance of debentures, the company's first issuance carried out under the terms of Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM)'s new regulatory framework of public offerings (RCVM 160), with benefits, as provided in Law No. 12,431 (infrastructure debentures with incentives) in the total amount of R$ 1.18 billion (approximately US$ 238.9 million). The public offering featured Banco Itaú as lead underwriter, as well as Banco BTG Pactual and Banco Santander as additional underwriters. The net resources raised by the issuance will be used in the investment plan approved by the State Ministry for Transportation, related to the investments of the concession contract No. 006/ARTESP/2009.
