James Ford was a guest speaker on RUSI’s flagship podcast the Suspicious Transaction Report to discuss lessons from the past 10 years of ESG policy, and what we might expect next.
He focused in particular on developments in business and human rights since the introduction of the UN Guiding Principles – noting in particular: the rise of mandatory human rights due diligence, the reinforcement of modern slavery reporting legislation and the rise of stakeholder expectations (including investors, customers, regulators) around human rights risk management.
