Meeting of the NYSBA Securities Regulation Committee

Tram Nguyen, Mayer Brown Corporate & Securities partner and chair of the Securities Regulation Committee, is pleased to announce that Christina Thomas of Mayer Brown and Nick Losurdo of Goodwin Procter will discuss US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) priorities. Christina and Nick recently served together at the SEC as senior advisors to Commissioner Elad L. Roisman. They focused on policy, rulemaking and enforcement related to, among other things, capital formation, issuer disclosure, proxy voting, Regulation NMS and equity market structure, broker-dealer and investment adviser standards of conduct, and new and complex asset classes (including digital asset securities). They will discuss what we can expect from the SEC during the Biden administration, including rulemaking, enforcement focus areas and exam priorities.
