Mayer Brown’s Bank Lending practice is one of the largest and most active practices assisting regulated banks in financing transactions. It is also one of the firm’s oldest and most deeply rooted practices and an area of particular strength. We represent major money center banks, regional and community banks, and other regulated financial institutions in the full spectrum of syndicated and bilateral lending transactions.

Our lawyers have experience across a comprehensive range of credit products, including unsecured investment-grade facilities, and leveraged loans, asset-based loans, first lien/second lien facilities, delayed-draw term loans, bridge facilities, all within both the broadly syndicated and club syndication markets. We regularly serve as lead counsel on transactions ranging from routine middle-market financing to the most complex multibillion-dollar syndicated credit facilities.

Our Bank Lending practice employs a pragmatic, business-oriented approach and cultivates long-standing relationships with leading financial institutions. We pay close attention to the regulatory environments in which our clients operate, including requirements under the OCC, Federal Reserve, FDIC, and state banking regulators.
